Eroticism and art are two things that can be tough to combine. It is easy to lean too far one way or the other. At what point does the image become vulgar, obscene ? And likewise, the inverse; when are you being too "artsy" and taking away the erotica all together? With this piece, you have managed to blend the two well. Though a sexy pose, it does not reveal too much of the "naughty bits", dropping this image into the realms of simple pornography. The subtleness of light on the left side of the composition suggests a slight romanticism to the situation, compared to the stark light on the right which is putting her position, literally and figuratively, out into the open making her somewhat vulnerable. The fetish aspect of it further enhances the sexiness but by placing the riding crop against her and not in the hands of another, you avoid the explicitness of the situation. The woman is absolutely beautiful and the clean, simple lines of the furniture keep this piece polished but there is still enough texture in the leather and the carpet to keep the image from being bland and clinical. These are, of course, just my thoughts and I could be reading much more into this than necessary; perhaps I am over-reaching? Regardless, a well done piece; huzzah and many kudos to you.
I think this is a beautiful piece of art! it's lighting is done well and clearly you took time and effort on it! I wish some people could understand the difference of porn and art. *sigh* if anyone were to ask... I would probably start preaching about it for I am more then knowledgeable on the subject.
